rhythm, not schedule

A day at the nursery

A rhythm is a strong, repeated pattern that can still change. We check in with you regularly on feeding and sleep, follow your plan as closely as we can, and watch each child's cues.

Morning

7:00 to 8:30

Arrivals and free play. Dramatic play, art, sensory materials, books and music.

8:30

Hello Song, then breakfast. Wash hands and eat.

9:00 to 9:30

Outdoor prep. Getting ready for our walk and park play.

9:30 to 10:30

Park time. Run, climb, swing, slide and nature play.

Midday

10:30 to 11:30

Back at the nursery. Art, sensory play, music and movement.

11:30 to 12:00

Lunch, served family style.

12:00 to 12:30

Quiet time. Reading, puzzles and cuddling.

12:30 to 1:00

Toothbrushing and story time, then off to nap.

Afternoon

1:00 to 3:00

Nap time

Non-nappers have quiet play, books and puzzles.

3:00 to 3:30

Snack

Wash hands and eat together.

3:30 to 5:30

Play and goodbyes

Inside or out, until pickup.

“Daily communication with photos, videos, and written updates never fails to brighten the day. Seeing the cohort take to the outdoors, rain or shine, is a particular favorite.”

Times shift with the children. The order of the day stays the same, so it always feels familiar.
